FAQs for Brewery Host locations:

Q: How big are these classes? How many guests will come to my brewery?
A: Typically, a ‘sold-out’ class is 36-48 participants. For corporate outings, the minimum is 24, and the maximum, depending on time, can be as many as 72! Many participants will bring a friend or spouse to hang out in the Taproom and have a few pints while the other person is in class. For corporate buy-outs, we require the organizer, like bigtech.com, to pay the entire bill for the class, the beer and the food truck or catering.

Q: Would people be baking their bread on-site in my brewery?
A: No! Students take home a fully-mixed recipe. They will bake it at home or pop it in the freezer to bake in the future. No baking is done onsite at your brewery.

Q: Do I have to have spent grain?
A: Yes. You’ll need to plan a brew day on the same day as your class. We explain what beer was made from, why it is nutritional and an interesting part of the brewing process.

Q: How will Grain Bakers promote MY brewery?
A: Grain Bakers will focus on telling YOUR STORY and will promote your new beers, unique differentiators, upcoming events or future beer releases as you like. Just give us all the ideas you would like presented.

Q: Are instructors qualified to operate as an extension of my team?
A: Grainbakers' current or recently expired certifications: Serve-Safe Food Protection Manager, Serve-Safe allergen training, Cottage Food Operations, AED/Heart Saver CPR Certification/Choke-safe and TIPS certification. We care about food safety, life-safety, allergies and potential choking hazards.

Q: I’m not open on Tuesday or Wednesday. Can I open it just for the Grainbakers class?
A: Grainbakers seeks to help small breweries that are making aggressive strides to reopen after Covid. We work with Taprooms that are open Tues - Sunday until 9 PM. You will be required to be open until at least 9 PM on the day of your Grainbakers class.
