21st Amendment, Grainbakers Spent Grain Dog Treat Workshop

A SPENT GRAIN DOG TREAT-MAKING NIGHT AT 21st Amendment Brewing, San Leandro.

You love your furbaby, and you love a good brewery taproom. Grainbakers offers fun classes at your favorite brewery, allowing you to unwind, learn a skill, and enjoy the brewery experience. At the end of the brewer’s day, we will use their fresh spent grain to make high-fiber and high-protein spent grain dog treats that are nutritious and inexpensive to make. On Thursday, May 9, we'll be at 21A for a very special evening, teaching a fun workshop to make our 'Grain Pup' Peanut Butter Spent Grain Dog Treats. Make your dough, press it out and take it home to bake or freeze to bake over the weekend. Each batch makes a huge amount of treats! 

Each workshop is just under an hour long. This lets you make treats at the brewery and bring them home to freeze or bake! 2 Participants from the same household may team up to make treats for the same doggo! We'll show you our tricks for batching a big batch fast and efficiently, or you can use our cute cutters to make pretty gifts.

 Please note that this workshop uses the following allergens: peanut butter and eggs. 

Your workshop includes:

• Hands-on instruction to make spent grain dog treats
• Recipe and instruction guide with additional recipes
• Each ticketholder will make our Peanut Butter Spent Grain Dog Treats
• Extra spent grain for your freezer and recipes to make more dog treats!

If you prefer to make vegan, spent-grain dog treats, grab a ticket and let us know when you get your ticket confirmation. We'll be sure to have the modifications on hand for you.

We will have everything you need on hand, but you are welcome  to bring your favorite apron, rolling pin and cookie cutters.

Workshop times:

Since this class is fun and easy, we have rolling start times to give everyone time to make dough and press out their cookies. The workshop times will be ticketed for the following times:

5:10 PM - 6:00 PM

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

7:10 PM - 8:00 PM

8:10 PM - 9:00 PM

21st Amendment Brewing is super dog-friendly. If you’re bringing your dog to the brewery, you must get someone to watch your pup while making treats. Of course, we'll have samples for your pup.
