Grainbakers Breadmaking Class

SPENT GRAIN BREADMAKING

Grainbakers is a pop-up breadmaking school taught at breweries.

Come have a great evening of fun at your favorite brewery. Grainbakers offers spent grain bread-making classes and spent grain hot buttered pretzel-making classes at your favorite brewery. Our classes are for everyone from the rookie baker and the beer geek or home brewer to the bread-making enthusiast. At the end of the brewer’s day, we will use their fresh, spent grain and work it into a stunning boule of bread.

Classes are offered all over the United States in beer-centric cities. If you have a brewery, invite us to visit. In the first half of 2024, Caitlin visited 30+ breweries, made over 1,600 breads with guests and traveled over 17,000 miles!

Let's RISE TOGETHER!

From Grain to Bread

We’ll discuss craft beer, delve into the science behind brewing, and explore sustainability in the craft beer industry.

You'll learn about brewer's spent grain, why it's considered a superfood, and how to incorporate it into bread.

You'll leave with your bread in its first rise, ready to bake at home.

Expect laughter, meeting new people, and supporting a small, independent brewery.

Adults-Only Fun

Since part of the class is held in an industrial area of a manufacturing brewery, the class is for adults only. (18+)

This class is good for:

A solo outing

Couples

A first date

Your 1,000th date

A Girls’ night out

“My friend booked a class for four of us for my friend’s birthday. It was a brewery I had never been to before. The class was informational, followed by a fun and messy demonstration time. We all left with our own ready-to-bake loaf in its first rise. It was ready to pop in the oven when I got home and made a pretty great bread for grilled cheese the next day.” - Jessika G.

RISE TOGETHER!

When you arrive at the brewery, please check in, grab a beer, and relax with friends. Class begins with a lesson, tour and then it’s time for grain, water, yeast & salt. Make artisan bread and great memories with friends.
